Terms

The blog post, tutorials, group and forum posts on DigitalRaindrops.net are personal content created by the authors. DigitalRaindrops.net is not responsible for the content contained in the posts by other authors, nor does DigitalRaindrops.net assert any ownership over this content.

There may be some exceptions to this rule, where a tutorial, blog or post has been written by DigitalRaindrops.net staff for some official purpose, but such exceptions will be individually identified and do not affect the general principle that responsibility and ownership of a tutorial, post or blog rest with its author(s).

Even though tutorials, blogs and posts are personal web pages, acceptable use still applies. In particular, this implies that:

  • Authors shall not attempt to gain access to, copy, or otherwise make use of any other authors assets or data. This includes acquiring knowledge of any other authors password, attempting to interfere with assets or data on another authors blog is also a breach of this term.
  • Authors shall not attempt to gain access to systems administration or other areas not available for general use. This applies to the WordPress software and in particular it means that inserting code or markup into your posts or comments which breaks the layout of DigitalRaindrops.net outside of your own posts is a breach of the T&C’s.
  • Authors should be aware of the possibility of copyright infringement. This arises out of the use of a tutorial or blog, making copyrighted video or audio material available, or reproducing images or text from other sources may be a breach of copyright law and thus illegal.
  • DigitalRaindrops.net or authors posts shall not be used to display, print, transmit or store text or images or other data which could be considered offensive such as pornographic, racially abusive or libelous material. The test of this is not whether you or your peers find the content offensive. It is also whether such content could be deemed offensive to others. Do not assume that if you find something harmless or amusing that it must be acceptable to publish.
  • DigitalRaindrops.net will not allow artistic partial and full nudity images. We reserve the right to delete posts if the subject and composition is considered pornographic, obscene, or otherwise unsuitable to the general public. If you publish such images or content then you will be blocked.
  • DigitalRaindrops.net defines adult content as “language or material that, in context, depicts or describes, in terms patently offensive as measured by contemporary community standards for publishing medium, sexual or excretory organs or activities.” This includes patently offensive sexual or excretory references that do not rise to a level of obscenity.

Tutorials, blogs and posts are not routinely monitored by DigitalRaindrops.net. This has two implications:

  • If you see something on a tutorial, blog or post which you think may breach one of the terms above, or otherwise concerns you, then you should not assume that the DigitalRaindrops.net administrators are aware of the problem. You should “Report the problem” to admin@digitalraindrops.net.
  • If you are the author of a tutorial, blog or post, you should never assume that posting something in a group or forum is an acceptable way of communicating with DigitalRaindrops.net.  Writing on a forum about support matters is absolutely not an effective substitute for contacting us via email to discuss your concerns.

Once you have registered your membership please bear in mind the terms and conditions of use. Happy posting.
